-LOOKS-
Appearance: Eridan takes mostly after his mother with fair skin and being nearly covered in freckles. They’re only on his cheeks and nose on his face, but he also has them on places like his neck, shoulders and there’s a few dotting his stomach, back and legs. He’s kind of embarrassed by the ones on his body besides his neck and shoulders. Eridan is 6’0” and very lean. He has a swimmer’s type body and if you don’t know what that means it’s basically like having bigger shoulders and slimmer waist and hips. Despite what you’d think Eridan has a very feminine look to him, whether that’s on purpose or not…he doesn’t quite say. Typically. He has red hair with a bleached streak in the middle that most of the time he’ll spike up though he occasionally does other things as well. It's never mussed up if he can help it though. Eridan also has a long scar on his stomach that nearly circles his waist. He's had this scar for as long as he can remember, he doesn't really know where it's from either and his father nor older brother can remember him ever getting a scar there so it's kind of a mystery.

-ABOUT-
Personality: Eridan is very proud, selfish, stubborn and at times very arrogant. He can be very judgmental and harsh with his comments sometimes. He doesn't get along well with most people but certain people he has a soft spot for, one of them being Feferi, Cronus and another being Karkat Vantas. When he believes he’s being treated negatively Eridan will react in an equally negative way, though this typically ends in a fight he can be calmed down if handled in the right way. While Eridan is a very hard-to-get-along-with sort of person he can also be very gentle and caring towards people. Though this sort of treatment doesn't happen often and is really reserved only for certain people. Unless directly prodded Eridan has a very neutral view towards most people though he does tend to look down on everyone at least at first.
Background: Eridan was born in Dublin, Ireland during a visit to his father Freyir’s parent's home only a year or so after Cronus was born. The family returned home to Anstruther, Scotland delighted and around that time found that his father’s close friend Mrs. Peixes was pregnant as well. Though her husband left her at the news the Ampora’s jumped in to help and support the Peixes as best they could. Only a year later did Eridan’s mother pass away from sickness and the two families became closer friends than ever. While younger Eridan had a lot of nightmares, in these situations his older brother Cronus would sing him French lullabies, that their late mother had taught him, until Eridan would fall back to sleep again. For a while Eridan would make Cronus sing whenever he was upset or just wanted him to sing and thus has memorized most of the lullabies for himself.
Eridan and Feferi became extremely close at a very young age, attached at the hip basically. Eridan didn’t make friends easily given his stubborn and commonly harsh personality so Feferi was his only friend at the time and for quite a while, besides Cronus. So in his free time away from Feferi he would pour over books and excitedly bug his father and Cronus for lessons in magic. A lot of what Eridan did was to impress not only his father and brother but Feferi as well so he would teach her what he’d been taught or learnt on his own. At the age of 6 Eridan’s father, Freyir decided to return to Hogwarts to teach therefore it was decided that Eridan and Cronus both would live with the Peixes family until they turned of age to join their father at Hogwarts. Eridan and Feferi gained a closer relationship and understanding of each other from living together and some one-sidedly romantic feelings blossomed in Eridan. At the age of 8 Eridan confessed his affections to Feferi and asked to marry her. He was shot down(pewpewpew) very quickly and this concluded in Eridan becoming fairly distant towards his only friend. He spent the next few months hanging around his brother while avoiding Feferi and spending quite a lot of time sulking and whining to Cronus. So after one night of finding Feferi crying on her own Eridan approaches and comforts her by singing to her. He stopped avoiding her after that. A few weeks later Eridan receives a handmade scarf from Fef and he wears it as much as he can. Every few years when Eridan grows out of a scarf Feferi makes a new one so this has led to Eridan keeping all the scarves and hiding them in a box back home.
On the day Cronus left for schooling at Hogwarts Eridan was very emotional and distraught by the fact that Cronus would not be coming home for a good long while and had his brother promise to send lots of letters.

The five years of schooling at Hogwarts brought Eridan much frustration as well as delight. And aside from Karkat, who is a close friend, he has plenty of people he'd probably call friends if he were a bit more sociable. Sadly he is not.
Quirks & Et cetera (Anything else you would like to add?): When Eridan gets flustered, nervous or angry he has a slight stutter that worsens with intensity of emotion when it comes to words with "v"s and "w"s, though it's hardly even noticeable, it will become more so as Eridan becomes more and more distraught. He often excuses this stutter as a part of his accent (despite not really having one) when questioned about it. No one really believes him though.
Eridan loves his owl, Cliodne more than anything in the world. Having fallen in love with the tiny crested owl when he first saw her in the store he now spoils her rotten and pampers the bird of prey more than you probably ever should with a pet. He also has a fondness over pretty much any nautical type things and has several small pins that he will occasionally pin to his scarf or robes. Except for puns. Eridan has a great dislike for puns of any kind. He has a very dry sense of humor much like the rest of his family. At least he likes to think that his sense of humor is better than his father's. Which isn't too hard to have actually considering his father's sense of humor is non-existent.
Eridan has quite an interest in appearing femininely on occasion though he doesn't do it at school so often and it's extremely rare when he does. Though he has no interest in being labeled as a female whatsoever, he takes great pride in his androgynous appearance and ability to successfully mimic either the male or female's stereotypical appearance.
Eridan has been dragged into co-announcing with Karkat at Quidditch games which can be an interesting experience. Most of the time it's Eridan making snide and sarcastic comments while Karkat screams curses at the players. Though on occasion he will try to quiet Karkat down. These attempts usually fail although. Eridan has little to no interest in Quidditch or sports in general. He doesn't like to exert himself playing such violent games with no purpose. But after being given shit for not showing any interest at all in the sport by a few people he decided to help being an announcer but does a poor job of it anyway since he hardly understands the rules and doesn't actually watch the games.
